With a construction period of only 16 months, our partners, the City of Salinas, Anderson Brule Architects and Griffin Swinerton (a joint-venture between Griffin Structures and Swinerton Builders) have done an amazing job keeping this project on schedule and of a high quality.

The new El Gabilan Branch Library is a $21 million project for the City of Salinas that is replacing their existing 50-year old facility with a two-story, 21,076 square foot building that includes a spacious main lobby, a tech maker space, and of course, library circulation faculties.  The new library is designed with a community focus that features an outdoor children’s zone, a teen area, homework help area and an outdoor patio and amphitheater.  Parking for staff and members of the public is also included in the design for the project.

The Grand Opening for the Library is scheduled for February 22nd.
