Nordheim Court is a 460-bed student apartment community developed for the University of Washington, the third Public-Private Partnership student housing project for the University. Located less than a mile from campus, Nordheim offers a variety of apartment configurations including studios, 2-bedrooms, and 4-bedroom apartments. Financed using tax-exempt 63-20 bonds and designed and constructed by a private development team, Nordheim Court was completed in just 18 months, adding much-needed capacity to the University’s overcrowded housing system. In 2012, UW opted to retire the bonds and ownership of the facility reverted to the University.
PFG staff led this project while employed at National Development Council (NDC), where they created the Special Purpose Entity that issued bonds and oversaw all project related activities. In 2015, NDC’s Public Facilities development arm left NDC to form PFG. University of Washington has refinanced the project and now has full ownership of Nordheim Court.
