Wood Center Dining Facility

The Wood Center Dining facility is a 34,000 square foot expansion to the existing Wood Center building. The Center houses University Alaska Fairbank’s only full-service on-campus dining facility serving the University’s 11,000 students and 3,400 faculty and staff. It was financed using tax-exempt 63-20 bonds and was designed and constructed by a private development team. The renovation and expansion included new food preparation and service facilities, the addition of 320 seats, renovation of the main entrance, and a new student activities office.

PFG staff led this project while employed at National Development Council (NDC), where they created the Special Purpose Entity that issued bonds and oversaw all project related activities. In 2015, NDC’s Public Facilities development arm left NDC to form PFG. NDC currently maintains ownership of the project on behalf of University of Alaska Fairbanks.
