Project Description

The Wood Center Dining facility is a 34,000 square foot expansion to the existing Wood Center building. The Center houses University Alaska Fairbank’s only full-service on-campus dining facility serving the University’s 11,000 students and 3,400 faculty and staff. It was financed using tax-exempt 63-20 bonds and was designed and constructed by a private development team.  The renovation and expansion included new food preparation and service facilities, the addition of 320 seats, renovation of the main entrance, and a new student activities office.

Our staff was involved with this project while employed at National Development Council.  NDC created the Special Purpose Entity that issued bonds and currently maintains ownership on behalf of University of Alaska Fairbanks.
